Corona Diaries – Day 21

Friday 10th April 2020

Good Friday

I started the morning with a leisurely read in bed with a breakfast of cakey flapjacks that Rob had baked on Wednesday (all his idea for the dessert breakfast). I’ve started reading ‘The Secret Keeper’ by Susan Lewis. I’m intrigued and think it will be a quick read.

I had a fantastic day painting. Faye didn’t last too long as she couldn’t get down on paper what she was hoping for and decided to go out in the garden and spend time with the rabbits instead (charming!).

I’m sharing all that I painted and I realise that some are terrible but I’m not an artist. These were all inspired, most copied, from other people’s work. As they were just for fun, I didn’t think this was a problem and it’s a really good way to learn. In the captions below I have listed where they were copied from…

Drawn from a photograph of our old bunny, Luna
Drawn from ‘Fantastic Beasts’ book
Drawn from ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone Illustrated edition’ (My dad thought it was a girl!)
Drawn from a painting on Instagram @magrish

Drawn from ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Illustrated’ (This one is truly awful but it’s all good practice)

Tonight, we watched ‘Ocean’s Twelve’ – nowhere near as good as the first film in my humble opinion. Perhaps because I was knitting on my sock… but I kept losing the thread of what was going on. Whether that was due to an actual complicated plot or just me being dumb, I’m not sure. The ending was okay. But should I bother with ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’? Answers on a postcard…
